Valley City State University:

It was during the summer session. A friendly professor of chemistry stopped and talked to me. It has about 1,000 students and attracts youngsters with a desire go to a small, friendly school. It gives Bachelor's degrees in Education, English, Mathematics, Chemistry, etc. The professor said that, even though his students lack ultra modern equipment, the better ones can get into nearly any graduate program they want. The campus must have about 10 buildings, many of them of fairly recent construction. The campus is pretty. The professor said that it may be closed because of funding.*

3:16,17,18 A view of the campus from the far side of the bridge. The Administration Building is in the center of the picture and you may be able to make out its steeple.

3:19,20,21 The administration building has an inscription indicating construction in 1892. The clock didn't work while I was there.
